Our Venue for 2018

We are pleased to be hosting BIO2018 again at the King's Centre, Oxford’s largest multi-purpose venue. The Kings Centre is right at the heart of the City.

About The King's Centre

Previously the home of Oxford Instruments, The Kings Centre was bought by Oxfordshire Community Churches in 2002 and has been developed and upgraded. The Kings Centre has hosted a wide variety of events for local, national and international organisations, businesses and charities. The kings centre has also proudly hosted former Prime Minister David Cameron, the Shadow Chancellor, Local MP’s the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of the County, the Lord Mayor of Oxford, the County and City Councils just to name a few.

NO PARKING AT THE VENUE

Parking at the venue is limited so please use the free bus services provided or you can park at Worcester Street Car Park in the centre of Oxford and walk to Oxford Train station to pick up the City Sightseeing bus service.

DIRECTIONS BY CAR

FROM THE SOUTH

• Take Junction 8 off the M40 towards Oxford.
• Take the A40 to Oxford. Use the Thornhill Park & Ride service, just before the roundabout.
CONTINUING WITHOUT PARK & RIDE
• At the roundabout take first exit to A4142 (ring road), continuing northbound onto A34
• Come off at the Botley Interchange and turn left by McDonald's
• Turn right into Ferry Hinksey Road after approximately ½ mile
• At the mini roundabout turn left
• The King's Centre is on your left
FROM M4/A34
• Take junction 13 off the M4
• Follow the A34 northbound to the Botley Interchange
• Come off at the Botley Interchange and turn left by McDonald's
• Use the Seacourt Park & Ride service, first left after coming off the interchange
CONTINUING WITHOUT PARK & RIDE
• Turn right into Ferry Hinksey Road after approximately ½ mile
• At the mini roundabout turn left
• The King's Centre is on your left

FROM THE NORTH

• Take junction 9 off the M40
• Follow the A34 southbound to the Botley Interchange
• Come off at the Botley Interchange and turn left by McDonald's
• Use the Seacourt Park & Ride service, first left after coming off the interchange
CONTINUING WITHOUT PARK & RIDE
• Turn right into Ferry Hinksey Road after approx. ½ mile
• At the mini roundabout turn left
• The King's Centre is on your left

BY BUS

If you are travelling to the Kings Centre from outside Oxford we have some free bus services available from Oxford Train Station and Seacourt Park & Ride. Please see details below.

WALKING

If you live in Oxford and prefer to walk, The King’s Centre can be accessed by the Thames towpath from Folly Bridge or Osney Island.

BY TRAIN

Oxford station is a 10-minute walk from the Centre. Trains from London Paddington are approx. 1-hour travel time, and 1 hr. 15 from Birmingham New Street. Train information can be found here.
